MENCAP ARE RECRUITING FOR SUPPORT WORKERS IN YOUR AREA. We have a variety of contracts available, including waking nights, relief hours, part time and full time contracts. Every minute of every day, we work to create a world where people with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to and included. As a support worker, you'll be right on the frontline of this. You will change someone's life for the better, and the experience will change yours too. What will you do? That's not easy to answer, as what you do and where you go will largely depend on the person you're supporting. They'll tell you what they want to achieve, and you'll support them to do just that What will you need? Experience isn't essential; our excellent training will take care of that. You'll need to be friendly, approachable, trustworthy and reliable. Flexibility is important too, as is patience and a genuinely positive outlook. But first and foremost, you'll need to be the kind of person who cares - because everyone else here is. What will you get in return? You'll feel like a valued and valuable member of our team. You'll feel proud to be part of an organisation that is making good things happen. Thanks to our best In-Sector training, you'll feel like you are always learning and progressing.
